On July 12th, 2007 at 4:32 pm Ethan Don Turely came into this world and bless us with his sweet spirit. He was 21 inches long and weighrd 8 pounds 1 ounce. Aiden and Isaac just love and are so proud of their little brother.

Evacuation
As the fire got closer we decided that is was in the best interest for the boys and Mariann to get out of the house. Some friends of our the Gills came and got Aiden and Isaac, Sean Gill stuck around and helped Matt and Matt's Dad dig a fire line and hose down the fence and debris behind the fence. Next we got Mariann out, she was only five days away from giving birth to Ethan. The first picture is of the News Channel 4 trying to get an interview with Mariann because he heard that she was pregant. The second picture is us packing Mariann up to get out. The third picture is of Matt's dad and Sean getting over the fence. The fourth picture is our street crowded with fire personel and equipment. The last picture is Matt just getting over the fence and telling Sean and Matt's dad that now would be a good time to get back over the fence.

Fire in our backyard 2

Our neighbor across the street took all these pictures and was kind enough to share them with us. His thought process was we were all busy and the fire had to go through our houses before it got to his!

The Fire in our backyard!!!
On the afternoon of July 7th the greatest fear that we have of living where live came true. Our property backs to BLM land and that afternoon a wild fire was making a direct line for our home and our neighbors homes. We were lucky the fire shifted when it came with 100 yards of the homes and let the fire fighters get the upper hand and get a good line dug between the fire and the homes. This will be a few different posts and we will explain what is going on in each photo. The picture that looks out of focus it a picture a Chinook Helicopter that was doing water drops through the thick smoke. The helicopter was over our neighbors house at the time of the picture.

Oakland A's
In April our family had the oppurtunity to go to the Bay Area and see an Oakland A's game with our friends the Gills. The A's were playing the Los Angeles Angels, Matt's friend Sean Gill is an Angel fan so the game was interesting. It was interesting to see who was going to not talk on the way home. The A's beat the Angels 3-0, so Matt was happy.
Take Me Out To The Ballgame!
This year Aiden started Tee-Ball, he is on a team with his friends Jayden, Jaxon and Ian. He is having a great time learning the game. Matt is helping coach with our friend Mike Smith. The team that Aiden plays for is the Cubs. The only problem that we have is keeping Isaac off the field, he doesn't understand why he can't play.

We recieved our first real snowfall the other night and the boys thought that the throwing snowballs at dad while he tried to shovel the driveway was the best!
